Build your grit by pushing through challenges. Choose to be a strong person who can deal with anything that comes your way. Make things happen despite the conditions. If the circumstances aren’t right for what you need, go out and look for them. And if you can’t find them, then create them. Avoid excuse-making—it’s an easy trap to fall into. You want to give everything your best effort. How you take care of the details determines how you take care of big things.
People who get things done are “no matter what” people. “I can’t believe she got the job done despite what happened to her,” is a magnificent complement to receive. Sure, you may have been tired, scared, or hurting. By being reliable in a storm, you become more valuable. You build grit and courage which directly impacts your paycheck. Good employers value those characteristics. They build confidence and self-esteem which makes you a stronger person.
“Accept the challenges so that you can feel the exhilaration of victory.” —George S. Patton
