Crush Discouragement

crush discouragementChallenges will come up in your life. They’ll make you feel overwhelmed and discouraged. You know those problems, the ones that can just ruin your day or even the week. I’m here to tell you that you have the ability to crush discouragement. It’s okay to experience the emotion. But it’s important that you don’t let it take over. Never let it hang around for more than three days. Decide to stand up and move forward. Show the world how courageous you are.

Many times things don’t go the way you planned. Nearly everything that could go wrong on my Antarctic expedition did. I felt discouragement. But I knew that if I let that emotion stay too long, it would wipe me out. I’m a motivational speaker who will tell you to embrace, for a moment, negative emotions. They’re part of being human. It’s okay. I know the best medicine for discouragement is hope. Have hope that you can overcome whatever difficulties come your way. Use your grit to rise up and conquer your troubles.
